Our adoption forums have been around since 2002, but because we’ve always been private it ranks quite low in the search engines (as opposed to this blog-which ranks quite high) and people have a hard time finding us. I’ve been trying to think of a way to remedy that and I came up with something that might work.
I want to create an open forum and add a few, maybe 6-10 articles, on various adoption topics and issues, geared towards adoptive parenting and the process. Nothing to specific…more general in nature.
Some of the topics I thought of are:
1. What to consider before you adopt.
2. What to expect from a homestudy
3. Open adoption
4. Older child adoption/Adopting from foster care
5. Steps to International Adoption
These are just ideas, not specific ones I’m looking for. You can use any of my ideas or one that you think on your own. It can be related to your own experience or written as more of a tutorial. They don’t have to be very long…350-400 words is fine, unless you want to make it longer.
If you have a blog, business, forum, website or anything else you want to promote (doesn’t have to be adoption related-just family friendly), you can add a byline, with the direct links, at the end of what you write. The only thing I ask is that the article is original, not copied from someplace else, and that you won’t post it any place else. It will have to pass copyscape.
