These are great ways to celebrate new beginnings! Lots of great ideas for families wanting to celebrate their unique cultural values. Here's a gift idea - how about a charm bracelet for a young lady, and each member of the new family can select a charm to represent themselves, and present them separately to the adoptee, and made into a bracelet to represent the whole family?

I guess there are as many different ways to celebrate as their are different kinds of adoptive families! I know a number of homeschooling families who have adopted children, and yet I can't imagine that any of them would celebrate the same things the same way because of the unique culture in each family. Thanks for sharing your story and giving ideas to others.

Joanne, this is a wonderful post. We looked into adoption during our 11 years of infertility treatments, but nothing seemed to work out. It was not in God's plan for us. I think that your work in bringing the wonderful information out to others is fantastic, and I am so proud of you!!
