What To Do With Your Kid’s Art WorkOne of our long time adoption forum members asked for suggestions on how to manage the ever growing collection of her child’s art work. Having three kids myself, I’ve had to come up with some creative ways to display their pictures, drawings and paintings over the years.
One of the things I do is line the inside of EVERY cabinet door with my kids artwork. Every kitchen cabinet door (16 of them) plus all throughout the house. I usually can fit four coloring book size pictures or 2 larger ones.
I love opening my cabinets (and so do guests that come over) and seeing them there. I hang the ones that are most special to me on the inside of the cabinet with my tea bags and glass mugs because that’s the first one I open each morning.
Some other things I’ve done is use contact paper and made placemats out of four Valentines pictures that my girls did. We take them out and use them each year. Also, I have two glass top night tables on each side of our bed and I have love letters and cards from my husband Billy taped to the underside (facing up). You could do something like that using kids artwork. Other things I’ve done is frame them (some for me and some as gifts), send some to relatives and I’ve also made Artist Trading Cards’s out of them. How do you store your kids art work? What an awesome idea. I love it. You get to see the artwork daily and yet it is not out making everything look cluttered.
Good Job Mom!
