For Wordless Wednesday:
My 12 year old, with her former foster mother Pat. She’s holding one of Pat’s current foster children. This photo was taken at the birthday party of my childrens former foster brother, who was adopted the year after we adopted our three. Yes, we’re like one big happy family.

So sweet! She’s got a great smile!
That’s a really lovely story behind the photo.
It takes a special person to be a foster carer & by the look on that little girls face this is one special relationship. happy WW x x
what a priceless shot!
I am so glad I stumbled across your blog! First of all, your picutre is wonderful. Those kids are very fortunate to be involved with the foster parents like that.
Second, I have been looking into adoption recently, and was discouraged about the costs. I would love any kind of advice, or information about making it more affordable. How can a lower income family afford it?

Thanks everyone, for the nice comments.
Ali…give me a day or two and I’ll reply to your comment in a post.
What a beautiful stunning memory. Happy WW.
Wow. I think it’s awesome that your family is so large. What a blessing. I want to hold that baby too! Your daughter is beautiful! Happy WW… so many of today’s photos are bringing happy tears.

That is so very sweet! Fostor moms can have such an impact on kids. (foster parents, I mean, not just the moms) Its a blessing to have one so great and its a blessing to her to still have them in her life.
the memories sealed in the great pic.
We’re very fortunate that my childrens (we adopted three siblings) former foster parents are great people and still a part of our lives.
Your awesome…we need more people like you. Great shot!
priceless!
What a wonderful picture, your daughter looks so happy!
I stumbled across your blog through a Wordless Wednesday link and it looks like I will have to keep reading. I have two children of my own, but would like to adopt more in the future. We live in Guatemala and I meet a lot of families who are adopting internationally, I´ll have to point them to your blog!
Thank you all for the nice words.
Makes me smile. My oldest (aged 3) talks all the time about her foster mom and bio mom…I hope someday to be able to take pictures with them too!
