More Adoption Blogs

Here’s a few more blogs I’ve stumbled upon in the last couple of weeks. I hope you enjoy them as I have been. :-)

Peter’s Cross Station is about Shannon, Cole and their daughter Nat, now two years old. Their journey, which led them to a transracial open adoption, actually started on this blog. They’ve been matched for a possible second adoption and the latest update can be read in this post. If you’re looking for information on GLBT adoption, check some of the links in the sidebar.

Peter and Alinda, from the Netherlands blog about adopting from China at Adoption Log, which is published in both Dutch and English. Their blog starts back in 2005 and is a very interesting read. Check it out!

Based on a True Story follows the adoption journey of a woman, and her husband, who began with wanting to adopt from India and are now starting foster care adoption. They’ve just got their homestudy completed and approved and you can read all the latest adoption posts by clicking “adoption” in the sidebar. She candidly posts about her frustration with a social worker in this post who seems to be pushing her own agenda.

All these different blogs show so many sides (and options) of adoption through first hand accounts, which is why I find them so interesting. When people talk about “experts” in the adoption field, these are the types of people they should be talking about.
