Adoption Blogs
Here’s a few that I’ve been enjoying recently. Tracy of The Trials & Tribulations of Trace in Adoption La-La Land blogs as she waits to adopt an infant domestically after deciding against fertility treatments. What I really like about her blog is that she writes honestly and openly about her frustration, hopes and fears…and her experience with a birth mother scam. Check out her Adoption Isolation post, it’s one that many of us can relate to. Oh and I love her tagling: Do Not Confuse Waiting With Being Defeated. Russian adoption is the topic at MM Rusian Adoption. Her blog starts at the very beginning of their journey and takes us all the way through to adopting two toddlers, a boy and a girl. You’ll find lots of first hand experience in the December archives. At Still A Momma, you’ll find one couples journey through adoption after six years of infertility. Adrienne is also an adoptee, which brings a unique slant. She says on her blog, “Adoption saved my life. What started in 1975 was an infant, born addicted to heroin, abandoned, and not wanted, turned into a confident woman, loved by God and her family”. Take a look at the photos of her daughter-she’s a real beauty! I love this one. Feel free to leave the link to your adoption blog here so we can all visit! I agree that Trace’s blog is awesome! I just found your blog thanks to hers too. Great posts! My dh and I are looking to adopt children from the foster care system, so we can use all the information and advice we can get.
Thank you Joanne for attaching my blog. It is nice to know that people enjoy what I write and that it helps people along with their journeys to parenthood.
Hi Kathy. I poked around your blog a bit tonight.
All three of my children were adopted through foster care (at 5, 8 & 11) in 2003. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you have.
Good luck!

I enjoyed your blog so much because I don’t know anything about Russian adoption so I found it all very interesting. I really enjoy reading about all the different adoption journeys people take.
